Katie and Seth’s wedding at Tuscan Ridge in Oakboro had, quite possibly, the most gorgeous weather. Even though it was November, it felt like a perfect spring day. I had been looking forward to their wedding for over a year! Their engagement session showed me that they were such a warm and loving couple, and it translated into one of the most beautiful parts of their day.

Katie and Seth did two sets of vows!!!! Yep, you read that right. They wrote the sweetest vows to each other, but instead of reading them out loud in front of their guests, they privately read them to each other right after their first look. It was SUCH a tender moment, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t tear up. At the altar, so full of love, they said the traditional vows in front of their friends and family. I don’t know if this is a “thing”, but I really hope it is, because it was so beautiful!

From the beginning Katie trusted me to guide her when planning the start time of her wedding, because she knew she she wanted two things: To get the majority of family photos out of the way before the ceremony, and to have lots of sunset husband and wife portraits in glowy romantic lights. With her first look and family formals out of the way BEFORE her ceremony, we were able to whisk Mr. and Mrs. Hastings away for a bit to get some of those dreamy sunset photos. And they did not disappoint!

The fun continued during the reception, with lots of laughing and dancing. At the end of the night, Katie and Seth had a fun sparkler exit before heading out!

Katie and Seth thank you so much for your friendship this past year, and for letting me be a part of your day. Thank you for making ME feel so loved , doing what I do. I pray the Lord blesses you both in your new life together!
