When Katie said she wanted to do her engagement shoot in February or early March, I was a little nervous. Wintertime in NC isn’t beautiful, and I concerned I would be shooting among dead trees, and brown grass. If you know NC you know that the weather can be unpredictable. But the random warm rainy days, gave us some beautiful spring greenery and florals.
Katie and Seth had been such a joy to be around, and I knew that their engagement session would be no different. When she first contacted me about shooting their wedding, my normal fifteen-minute phone call lasted well over an hour. Katie told me that she actually knew one of my past couples, Alanna and Snyder, and fell in love with their engagement session. Chatting with Katie felt like we had known each other all along, and we were just catching up. So it was no surprise that their engagement session felt the exact same way. Seth was the perfect gentleman and was more than happy to do whatever it took to make Katie shine. You could see the love he had for his future wife just in the way he looked at her. They laughed, hugged, kissed, and danced well until it was starting to get dark…which allowed for some of the most MAGICAL photos surrounded by twinkly lights. It was so hard to limit my favorite ones on this post, so I didn’t 😉
Katie and Seth, I am so happy for the two of you and can not wait to photograph your wedding this fall. I love you guys and I am so thankful you entrusted me to be a part of the beginning of your lives together!
