When it comes to wedding planning, there are so many pieces that you need to figure out. From the flavor of your wedding cake to the favors you’ll hand out to family and friends, all those small details are what make your wedding unique. As a wedding photographer in the Charlotte, NC area, I have seen a LOT of unique, personalized wedding details that I absolutely love!

I want to take some time to share with you some of my favorite personalized wedding details! Let these 7 personalized wedding details inspire your own perfect day!

#1 Signature Perfume

A while ago I remember New York Time’s article coming out with the quote, “Strangers have stopped me on the street to ask me what perfume I’m wearing.” Ladies, THIS is the perfect wedding vibe. Having a signature perfume is a simple way to elevate your wedding. One of my favorite weddings I recently shot was Olivia and Jack’s at the Morehead Inn, Charlotte, NC. I remember Olivia smelling so beautiful and thinking, “Gosh, what is she wearing and how can I get my hands on it?” Luckily, she included her signature perfume! Since then it has been one of my favorite wedding details to shoot.

#2 Personalized Stir Sticks for Drinking Glasses

Ladies, I don’t know about you, but the first place I go when planning any event is Pinterest and OH MY is there a lot of inspiration. One that always shows up is the perfect bar set-up for the reception. While some are able to go as far as having engraved drinking glasses, one of my clients did a unique spin. Instead, they had personalized stir sticks made! It was such a cute, unique idea that was accessible to all the guests!

#3 Fur Bridesmaid PJs

The next two are bridesmaid focused – but SO CUTE. While many brides and their bridesmaids wear matching “getting ready together” outfits, one of my brides took a stylish step further by wearing some trendy fur matching PJ sets!

#4 Initialed Wedding Get Ready Bags

While this one is a little more expensive, there was something so magical and personal about these get-ready bags. Chic and trendy, these bags added a unique personalized touch to my bride’s wedding. All the girls loved them and it’s a great reminder of a magical day watching their best friend getting married!

#5 Embroidered Suspenders

Now the bride and bridesmaids aren’t the only ones who should have fun on a wedding day! One of my couples also took the time to think about personalized ideas for the groom and groomsmen and this is a winner. Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to show these charming embroidered suspenders. A simple, yet classy addition to any wedding!

#6 Sunglasses on a Sunny Day

So you have planned your outdoor wedding and it ends up being a little bit *sunnier* than you had planned. Well one of my brides came prepared! When she told me about the sunglasses I was a little hesitant. Would this work? Could I still capture this without it coming off as too tacky? Needless to say, I was completely wrong about my assumptions. With the right attitude and cute pair of glasses, this becomes such a personalized, rememberable way to make your wedding day stand out!

#7 Who said you can’t bring your dog?

The possibility of having your pup at the wedding can sound a little bit like a nightmare. But once you see this beautiful photo I captured of my couple with their dog, I think you will change your mind!
