This wedding is so special to me, not only because it’s my very FIRST blog post, it is also the wedding of my little brother Ben to his high school sweetheart Sarah. So it seemed fitting that they would get married at the place where it all began, their school! It was such a beautiful thing to watch both families come together to make this day so special for the two of them.

Ben and Sarah’s wedding had perfect weather even though the forecast had originally called for thunderstorms. When I arrived, Sarah was calmly getting her hair done, and anxiously anticipating slipping into her lace dress. When Ben was ready, we walked over to a little field that had a big tree with vibrant fall foliage. I knew it was the perfect spot to have their first look, and I was right. I don’t know that I had ever seen my brother look so nervous and excited! He patiently waited as his soon to be bride made her way over to where he stood. It was so special to be a part of that moment.

When the church doors opened, Sarah walked down the aisle to Andrea Bocelli’s “Por Ti Volare” and made her way to Ben. It was hard not to get goosebumps seeing the two of them promise to love, honor, and cherish each other in front of their family and friends.

Thank you Ben and Sarah, for letting me be a part of your wedding day. I love both of you, and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for your marriage!
